Industrial motors is the foundation of all industries: Motors represent the wisdom between electricity and kinetic energy. With the winding of rotor or permanent magnets, when the current pass, there will increase a magnetic field. Due to the magnetic field is influenced by fix magnetic field, the armature rotors continuously. At this stage, the electricity is transformed to mechanical energy to drive devices. The construction of motor includes stator, rotor, copper winding, shaft and aluminum/iron cover. Between stator and rotor, there is a small gas gap. Therefore, the rotor won’t touch the stator while rotating. Using the feature of like charges repel each other while opposite charges attract to drive the armature. With the rapid usage of three-phase motors, induction asynchronous motors are invented. Due to the construction is simple, the cost is cheaper. Besides, induction motors are easily to do the maintenance. Furthermore, it is also easy to adjust the ratio of RPM and torque. Induction motors are the most common type of motor, nearly 90% among all motors!! There are thousands of applications of induction motors to combined with other mechanical devices, such as brake, ATC, gearbox and so on.

Application:

  • There are wide range of industrial motors, such as brake motors which is designed to require fast stops for safety reason and precise positioning. Or applied on centrifugal pump motors which designed for machinery usage. Choosing suitable stator & rotor is according to different applications. First of all, you choose stator and rotor based on the outer diameter and output power. Remember it is also changed and adjusted depending on your system and mechanic structure. Besides, there are still lots of factors to be considered, including power supply, actuation method, torque power (determined by load), installing space, environment conditions and cost. Certainly, we also refer to the IEC frame no. to help you figure out the suitable stator and rotor.

Phase:

  • According to different phases, we can divide induction motors into two types, single-phase or three-phase. Due to single phase motor induction motor is not able to form a rotary magnetic field automatically, we must equip with other start device, for example a capacitor, to help the motor start. The advantages of single phase motors are easy to get current, less cost, low noise and low maintenance. As to the three phase motors, there are different phases to make stator create the rotary magnetic field. There are two types - Squirrel cage type and Winding type. The advantages are simple construction, long lifespan, easy maintenance and start easily. However, it is hard to adjust the RPM. While the RPM increases, the torque decreases. Finally, the start torque is relatively smaller. It’s important for us to know your demand voltage and the working duty, S1 to S6. Then, we are able to recommend you the suitable stator and rotor for your motors.

Tolerance:

  • We can control the tolerance to make stator cutting edge smooth and accurate. Please understand the tolerance differs from different material of silicon steel lamination and design of mold. Usually, it is within 0.03mm-0.05mm. Our stepping mold can also reach to such strict tolerance. All steel lamination coils are directly from China Steel Cooperation (CSC), China Steel is also the supplier for Telsa Automotive in Taiwan. As one of the leading silicon steel lamination manufacturer in the world, the quality of laminations is guaranteed. For example, the iron loss of 50CS1300 is only 5.88 W15/50. Certainly, there are different grades of laminations for choosing by various design. For industrial motors, we usually use 50CS800 for IE4 motors and 50CS1300 for IE3 motors. The thickness of silicon lamination is 0.5mm.

IE3/IE4 Efficiency:

If you designed as Three-phase motors, you can save cost by reducing the stacking height comparing with single-phase motors.     CD9048 is mostly applied for AC industrial motors. The stator outer diameter is 90 mm and the stator inner diameter is 48 mm. Unlike TG9048B, the stator outline is round not square. Most customers use it in four poles design with single phase or three phases induction motors, ranging from 0.25HP ~ 1HP.There are 2 types of rotors. One’s OD is 46.1mm (No Gap type) and the other is 48mm. Both of them are 23T. The rotor slot is designed for better start-up even applied in Single-Phase motors. There are 3 options for the shaft hole, φ8/φ12/φ15mm.By using this stator rotor, you can reach low noise, long lifespan and low maintenance. Approved by IE2, IE3, and IE4 authentication.

It's suitable for IEC frame no. 63The slots of stator are 24T and the slots of rotor are 32T. There are 4 building bolt notches on the stator. The rotor slots are with openings to provide better permeability. By using this stator rotor, you can reach low noise, long lifespan and low maintenance. Approved by IE2, IE3, and IE4 authentication.

It's suitable for IEC frame no. 71The slots of stator are 24T and the slots of rotor are 34T. The slot shape of rotor is short to provide bigger torque. This stator rotor is also perfect for ATC application. If you need to reach short working time (S3/S6 type motors) but with big torque power. You can choose this model. By using this stator rotor, you can reach low noise, long lifespan and low maintenance. Approved by IE2, IE3, and IE4 authentication.
